The record
Adderley's brass punch and Jaspar's flute-and-tenor doubling give this 1959 Columbia sextet real bite alongside Johnson's horn. Cedar Walton and a young Albert Heath drive it tight, a solid late-decade snapshot before the leader's writing turned more ambitious.
