The record

Belgian vibraphonist Sadi leads a tidy Parisian front line through Vogue's mid-'50s house style, with Bobby Jaspar's tenor and Jean Aldegon's bass clarinet giving the session an unusually woody, cool-toned depth. A snapshot of the era when American bebop language and French studio craft were fusing into something distinctly Left Bank.
