Three long pieces caught on a club stand, and a front line that keeps pushing each other into the corners: Booker Little's trumpet answering Eric Dolphy's alto and bass clarinet across Fire Waltz and Bee Vamp. Mal Waldron's piano is the ballast, Ed Blackwell keeps the time loose enough for the horns to roam, Richard Davis anchors it. Prestige NJ 8260, mono.
