A one-off Chess date finds Roach's working rhythm section paired with Mobley and Dorham, a hard bop frontline that trades in tough, unfussy swing. Ramsey Lewis sits in on piano here, years before his own crossover fame, lending the session a distinct, hard-driving character.

The earliest pressing on file is a 1958 US Argo LP 623 in mono, with a second 1958 Argo listing as LP-623 and a Dutch Funckler MGAR 9207 the same year. After that it is foreign and later-reissue territory: a 1963 Japanese Globe SMJ-7136 in stereo with a deep groove, a Dutch Chess International MAR S-3093 in 1967, and Japanese Cadet and Baybridge pressings running to 1983. We list no audiophile reissue for this title, which leaves the 1958 Argo as the copy to chase.
