The record
A sextet date stacked with front-line firepower -- Morgan's trumpet and Fuller's trombone bringing hard-bop muscle while Hutcherson's vibes add harmonic shimmer around Henderson's own knotty, exploratory writing. Cedar Walton's charts give the date real backbone, closing out Henderson's run of mid-60s Blue Note leader sessions on a high note.
