The record
A soulful, undersung date built on Duke Pearson's tight, bluesy compositions, with Henderson and Wright trading sharp solos around Coles' warm, understated trumpet lines. Overlooked at the time, it's since become a favorite among Blue Note collectors for its unfussy hard-bop groove.
