The record
A quartet session for Prestige finds Zoller's guitar woven into Friedman's angular, unresting improvisations, Richard Davis and Joe Chambers keeping the rhythm loose underneath. Cut in 1966, it edges the pianist's sound toward something more open-ended than his earlier trio work.
