The record
Bethlehem sends Charles's vibes out front of Zoot Sims and Bob Brookmeyer's horns, with both Farmer and Farmer plus Hank Jones filling out a sextet built on Hampton's old book. The swing-era material comes back modernized, cool-toned, never played as pastiche.
