The record
Wynton Kelly at the piano is reason enough to pull this one, though the date belongs to Farmer's trumpet. Six sides on a Prestige ten-inch from 1955 -- five songbook titles plus something called 'Pre Amp' -- with Addison Farmer on bass and Herbie Lovelle on drums. Van Gelder engineered and cut it; Ira Gitler wrote the back; Dave Greenberg took the cover photo.
