The record
The follow-up to that year's bossa breakthrough pairs Getz with fellow guitarist Luiz Bonfá this time, trading the smoky tenor lines over Rio rhythm with Maria Toledo's vocals adding a native lyric warmth the first record lacked.

Pressings
Everything early here is 1963. The flag lands on a Canadian stereo pressing, but the US copies are the ones to look at -- mono V-8523 and stereo V6-8523, both gatefold with deep groove, the stereo an MGM pressing. UK buyers had VLP 9038 mono and SVLP 9038 stereo. Later gatefold reissues run through a 2000 German 180 gram and DOL's DOL1015HG; neither is scarce.
