Cut for Chess just after the Modern Art sessions, Tommy Flanagan's crisp comping opens up plenty of harmonic space for the trumpeter to work in. Flanagan, Williams, and Heath keep things lithe and conversational -- a sturdy, lesser-known entry in Farmer's turn-of-the-decade run.

The earliest we list is the 1960 US Argo mono, LP-678; the stereo companion, LPS-678, is the same year and is the copy logged with a deep groove. Promo mono copies also read LP-678, and the 1978 US Cadet reissue reuses that number again, so read the label rather than the number. Japanese reissues start with the 1975 Cadet MJ 1003.
