The record
Ferguson's late-'60s Atlantic date catches the trumpeter chasing the electric-era zeitgeist, backed by a heavyweight big band featuring Pepper Adams and Slide Hampton alongside rock-inflected guitar and electric bass. A restless, funk-tinged detour from the screaming-lead-trumpet years, more curio than classic but fascinating for the personnel alone.
