The record

A tenor-and-trumpet front line built for a Charlie Parker tribute, with Dorham's brass cutting sharp against Rollins' broad, searching tone over Roach's ever-alert kit work. Cut in the same fertile 1956 stretch as his Prestige run, this one leans into bebop lineage rather than the calypso and show-tune digressions Rollins was already famous for.
