Art Pepper's alto meets the vibraphone in relaxed, unhurried dialogue, with Gerald Wiggins' piano and Joe Morello's brushwork rounding out the group before Morello's Brubeck years. Cut for the short-lived Intro label, the whole date feels unforced.
