Pepper's alto cuts sharper against the paired tenors here, with Perkins and Kamuca trading breathy, unhurried choruses while Hawes and Rowles split piano duties across the date. Recorded for Pacific Jazz in late October '56, it swings with the ease of old friends sitting in.
