The record
A large-ensemble session led by violinist Leroy Jenkins, drawing on the loft-era avant-garde with Braxton, Dewey Redman, Dave Holland and Sirone's dual basses thickening the low end. JCOA's commitment to large-scale free improvisation is on full display -- dense, orchestral, and unmistakably downtown.
