The record
The title track sprawls into a communal jam, Morgan, Brooks, Donaldson, and Coleman each taking a turn over Smith's rolling Hammond and Blakey's snapping backbeat. Loaded with solos, built for a room full of people.

Pressings
Three 1959 pressings sit at the front here. The mono BLP 4011 marked first press carries deep groove, RVG stamp, the 47 W 63rd address and a Plastylite ear -- the full early configuration. A second 1959 mono shows the same minus the deep groove, and the stereo BST 4011 lists the 47 W 63rd address. Stereo BST 84011 reissues then run from 1967 to 1985. The 2013 DOL 180-gram gatefold, DOL1055HG, is the inexpensive modern option.
