The band name puts New Orleans on the label. George Lewis's clarinet leads over Avery "Kid" Howard's trumpet and Jim Robinson's trombone, with banjo from Creole George Guesnon, Alcide Pavageau on bass, Alton Purnell at the piano and Joe Watkins on drums. Six tunes on a Blue Note ten-inch, BLP 7028, engineered and cut by Rudy Van Gelder, with a Gil Mellé cover and Francis Wolff photography.
