The record
A patchwork of Gordon's early-60s Blue Note dates, later assembled from vaults with shifting rhythm sections -- Sonny Clark and Kenny Drew trading piano duties, Philly Joe Jones and Willie Bobo splitting drum chairs. Uneven pedigree aside, Gordon's tone stays unmistakably broad and behind-the-beat, a through-line across sessions that never made his original LPs.

Pressings
We hold no original-era LP for this title. The two pressings on file are a 1981 Japanese Blue Note, GXK 8175, in stereo, and a 2025 Blue Note 180-gram reissue, catalog 1051, which lists both stereo and mono and carries an RVG stamp. Neither is flagged as earliest. If you want a first US pressing, this page cannot point you at one.
