The record
A late-period session cut for Creed Taylor's pop-jazz vision at A&M, wrapping Montgomery's octave-laden lines in strings, woodwinds, and Herbie Hancock's chords. The title track and easy-listening covers show the guitarist's commercial pivot -- polished, plush, and a world away from his Riverside dates.
