The record
Reunites the classic mid-60s Miles Davis rhythm section, swapping in Freddie Hubbard's trumpet for the leader himself, chasing that band's telepathy on a live 1977 date. Hancock, Shorter, Carter and Williams still speak in the same coded shorthand, proving the chemistry never needed Miles's name on the marquee.
