The record
Standards like 'Nature Boy' and 'Chim Chim Cheree' get a two-bass treatment here, Davis joining Garrison for extra weight late in the classic quartet's run. Tyner and Jones hold the center even as the leader's reach starts to outpace them.

Pressings
The earliest pressing on file is a 1965 US Impulse! A-85 in mono, gatefold, with an RVG stamp; stereo AS-85 is the same year, also gatefold. UK His Master's Voice ran CLP 1897 mono and CSD 1619 stereo in 1965, and Canadian Sparton copies exist under both A-85 and AS-85. Reissues carry on through Impulse!, ABC and MCA, including MCA-29018 in 1980. For modern copies: Impulse! IMP-214 on 200 gram (1997) and a 45 RPM AS-85 on 180 gram from 2011.
