The record

Carter and Williams, on loan from Miles' rhythm section, push a young Lloyd through brisk, angular swing well before his name meant much on its own. Szabo's guitar tilts the session toward a modal haze that points ahead to the Forum crowds waiting a couple years out.

Pressings

Two 1965 Columbia pressings sit side by side -- the mono CL 2412, the earliest we list, and the stereo CS 9212. Both came back as 1967 repressings and both appear on Canadian copies dated 1966, so the label design is what tells you which you have. Britain got BPG 62347 in mono and SBPG 62347 in stereo in 1966, and CBS remastered the record in 1981 as PC 36981.
