The record

Teddy Charles's vibraphone next to Frank Wess's flute gives this session an airy top end that Thad Jones's trumpet cuts straight through. Mal Waldron comps dark underneath, Doug Watkins walks, and Elvin Jones keeps stirring the beat around instead of laying it flat. Six tracks, 'Dakar' and 'Embraceable You' included. Prestige 7084, 1957, notes by Ira Gitler.
