The record
A front line of Farmer, Fuller, and Mobley gives Clark's second Blue Note date a richer horn palette than his usual trio work, with Ware and Hayes keeping the swing loose and unhurried. Clark's own writing carries much of the session, a reminder of how sturdy a composer he was before the piano work took center stage.
