The record
Bunk Johnson's trumpet is as much the draw here as Bechet, who is credited on clarinet and soprano saxophone both -- and Albert Nicholas is credited on clarinet too, so the reeds double up. Six titles on a ten-inch Blue Note from 1951, "Milenberg Joys" and "Weary Way Blues" among them. The credits carry two pianists, Art Hodes and Cliff Jackson, and two drummers. Paul Bacon designed the jacket.
