The record

Bowie sings ten standards and the only horn on the date is Charles McPherson's alto, which puts more bite into a vocal record than you might expect. Tommy Flanagan is at the piano, Al Hall on bass, Osie Johnson on drums. "Since I Fell For You" and "Summertime" are the ones to hear first. Rudy Van Gelder engineered, Cal Lampley produced.
