The record
A stacked post-Coltrane summit -- Shorter, Bartz, Carter, Jones, and Alice Coltrane's harp coloring Tyner's dense, modal writing at the turn of the decade. Recorded in 1970 for Blue Note, it finds Tyner stretching beyond the quartet format into richer, more orchestral textures.

The earliest on file is a 1972 US stereo BN-LA006-F with an RVG stamp, and nothing earlier is listed. A Terre Haute pressing of the same number is also 1972, a German 84 424 K runs 1972 and 1973, and Japan got BNLA-006F in 1973 and GXK 8070 in 1978. No modern audiophile reissue appears here at all, so an early US copy carrying the RVG stamp is the one to chase.
