The record

Quincy Jones's arrangements are the frame, and the band inside them is strong -- Dave Burns's trumpet, Jimmy Cleveland's trombone, Frank Foster's tenor and Danny Bank's baritone, with Oscar Pettiford and Kenny Clarke driving it and George Wallington at the piano. Leonard Feather wrote the notes, Francis Wolff shot the photo, John Hermansader designed the cover. Blue Note BLP 5045, 1954.
