The record
A brassy 1962 date pairing Murphy's swinging, behind-the-beat phrasing with a trumpet section stacked three deep -- Terry, Travis, Young -- plus Jim Hall's understated guitar work threaded through the arrangements. Riverside-era vocal jazz at its most blues-soaked, later reissued under the OJC banner.
