The record
Coltrane, Quinichette, and Wess line up three tenors against McLean's alto on this 1957 Prestige blowing date, Waldron's comping sharpening the harmonic edges. Hardman's trumpet and the split bass work of Watkins and Euell keep the session dense and combustible.
