The record
Shelved for years before release, this date catches Patton early, already settled into the greasy economy that made him Blue Note's favored organist. Turrentine's trumpet and Braith's rare stritch work give the session an unusual, roomy texture.
Session personnel
- Ben Dixon — drums
- Grant Green — guitar
- John Patton — organ
- George Braith — soprano saxophone, saxophone [stritch]
- Tommy Turrentine — trumpet
