The record
Big John Patton's organ and Grant Green's guitar dig into a groove built for nodding heads, Tommy Turrentine's trumpet adding sting to an early-60s session. This is soul-jazz laid out plain, no frills, all pocket.

Pressings
The earliest on file is a 1963 US mono BLP 4108 with a deep groove on one side, RVG stamp, Plastylite ear and laminated sleeve. A both-sides deep groove mono and a no-deep-groove mono of the same year are also listed, which is the usual Blue Note transition, and the 1963 stereo BST 84108 carries the ear as well. From 1966 on it is repress and reissue only, down to the 1986 DMM remasters.
