The record

Club sets from the same November run that produced 'Live at the Village Vanguard,' with Bushell's oboe and Dolphy's bass clarinet thickening the harmony into stranger shapes. Less circulated than its sibling release, it catches the quintet testing how far postbop could bend before it broke.
