The record
Density and abstraction take over here, Henderson's tenor threading through Tyner's thick chordal clusters and Jones's roiling cross-rhythms. Cranshaw holds the bottom steady while the rest of the quartet pushes toward something tougher and less settled.

Pressings
Both mixes date to 1966: the mono 4189, with an RVG stamp and a laminated sleeve, is the earliest on file, and stereo BST 84189 sits beside it in first and repress form. Blue Note kept BST 84189 in print through 1977, the black b / white b label variant coming at the end of that run. Japan had GXK 8010. Music Matters is the reissue of record here -- the numbered 45 RPM gatefold MMBST-84189 on 180 gram, later reworked as the SRX edition.
