The record

The band is as much of a draw as the singer: Pepper Adams on baritone and Bill Watrous on trombone over Richard Davis and Mel Lewis, with Roger Kellaway arranging from the piano. Witherspoon works mostly ballads and standards -- 'Easy Living', 'Embraceable You', 'I Got It Bad' -- with 'Blues In The Night' and 'Trouble In Mind' for ballast. Prestige PRST 7475, stereo, 1967.
