The record

The credits carry two bassists, Ron Carter and Alexander Witherspoon, and two drummers, with Richard Landrum's congas and bongos and Limerick Knowles Jr.'s organ packed in around Joe Jones's guitar. 'There Is A Mountain' and 'The Beat Goes On' make good on the psychedelic promise in the title; 'Blues For Bruce' keeps a foot on older ground. Prestige, 1968, produced by Cal Lampley.
