The record
Grant Green's spare comping and the Chambers/Jones rhythm team frame a tenor built for ballads, unhurried and full-toned throughout. This late comeback on Blue Note finds a horn player steeped in swing-era phrasing settling into the label's early-'60s soul-jazz warmth.

Pressings
Two 1963 US Blue Notes head the list: mono BLP 4098, which carries a Van Gelder stamp, a Plastylite ear and a laminated sleeve, and stereo BST 84098, listed with a deep groove. The mono is the fuller-marked copy. Repressings follow in 1966 -- one mono with New York labels and no ear, one stereo that still has one. For a new pressing, Analogue Productions cut a 45 RPM AP-84098 in 2009 and Music Matters a 180 gram gatefold MMBST-84098 in 2015.
