The record
A late-'50s West Coast summit under British-born guitarist Howard Lucraft's name, stacking three of the coast's top drummers (Manne, Lewis, Levey) against Pete Jolly's accordion and Bob Cooper's oboe for an unusually textured session. Vinnegar, Budwig, and Mitchell rotate on bass, giving this Decca date a deep bench of the era's finest rhythm players.
