Guitarist Sonny Greenwich brings a rare harmonic color to this sextet-plus date, trading textures with Spaulding's alto and flute while Morgan and Walton keep the postbop pulse sturdy. Mobley's soft-spoken tenor still finds fresh company late in his Blue Note tenure.
