The record

Deep into his run with organist John Patton, Green cuts a trio session heavy on blues feeling and light on ornament, Ben Dixon's drums keeping the pulse patient. Muse shelved the tapes for years, but the funk underneath never dates.

Pressings

We hold no 1960s LP for this session. The earliest pressing on file is the 1972 US Cobblestone, CST 9002, and that is the copy to look for. Muse picked the title up in 1977 as MR 5120, and Japan issued it that year on Stateside as IXJ-80169, then again in 1983 as K18P-9188. Note that CST 9002 was also used for a 2000 180g reissue -- read the label before you pay.
