The record
Seven of the eleven titles are alternate masters -- 'Lady Bird,' 'Jahbero,' 'Symphonette' and 'Double Talk' among them -- so you hear Navarro working the same material twice. The credits carry two trumpets in Navarro and Howard McGhee, three tenors including Sonny Rollins and Wardell Gray, and two drummers in Kenny Clarke and Roy Haynes. Milt Jackson turns up on piano as well as vibes. Blue Note BLP 1532.
