The record

A snapshot of bebop's Afro-Cuban turn, cut for Blue Note as Moody's tenor traded phrases with Ernie Henry and Cecil Payne over Chano Pozo's congas and Art Blakey's drums. Dizzy Gillespie's big-band DNA runs through this session, caught just before Pozo's untimely death that December.
