Two pianists split duties here, but the real chemistry is Jordan's burly tenor trading phrases with Sonny Red's tart alto, propelled by Elvin Jones at his most conversational. A Jazzland date that catches the tenorman's soulful hard-bop side just before his more exploratory 1960s work.
