Woody Shaw's trumpet and Joe Farrell's reeds crowd the front line while Corea, still finding his footing as leader, stacks a doubled rhythm section beneath them. The result strains past hard bop toward something looser and stranger, a preview of the bands he'd build next.

Everything on file here is the 1973 Atlantic double LP -- this title reaches vinyl as a two-record set, not a single original album. The earliest we list is the US gatefold, SD 2-305, which turns up from several different plants; the 1975 US copies on that number are marked reissues. The UK K 60081 and Japanese P-5083~4A came the same year, Germany's ATL 60 081 in 1974. Nothing earlier than 1973 appears in our data.
