Baker steps back into the sideman's chair here, framing singer Johnny Pace against a quietly stacked band -- Herbie Mann's flute, Philly Joe Jones and Ed Thigpen splitting drum duties. Low-key and vocal-driven, more footnote than showcase but worth the detour.
