The record
Milt Jackson joins the quintet for this easy-swinging date, his vibraphone trading blues phrases with Adderley's alto over Kelly, Heath and Blakey at their most relaxed. Genial mid-tempo hard bop from two Riverside-world stars glad of the company.

The earliest pressing on file here is the 1958 US Riverside mono, RLP 12-286; the stereo of the same year is RLP 1128, a different number for the same record. A 1960 US mono repress numbered RLP 286 is listed with a deep groove, and British copies from 1962 carry a laminated sleeve. Original Jazz Classics reissued it as OJC-032 in 1982; Analogue Productions cut AJAZ 1128 at 45 RPM in 2010.
