The record
A late-'70s Xanadu date built around Detroit's tenor lineage, with Barry Harris anchoring the bebop language he and Mitchell came up sharing in that city's scene. Sam Jones and Walter Bolden round out a rhythm section that lets Mitchell's warm, unhurried tone carry the session.
