The record
Hutcherson's vibes chime against dense piano harmony while Davis and Jones keep the time slippery rather than square. Cut the same winter as Point of Departure, it's a quieter but equally searching entry in Hill's early Blue Note years.

Pressings
The earliest on file is the 1964 US mono, BLP 4159, deep groove with an RVG stamp; the stereo BST 84159 arrived the same year carrying a Plastylite ear. Some copies show deep groove on one side only, so check both faces. Blue Note's 1994 180 gram, B1-28981, is a solid inexpensive reissue, and Music Matters cut the 45 RPM gatefold edition, MMBST-84159, in 2013.
