The record
That bossa-tinged vamp on the title cut became Silver's signature, a bridge between hard bop and the Latin rhythms his father's Cape Verdean roots carried into the music. Two working quintets pass through this date, with Henderson and Cook trading tenor duties over Silver's own unmistakable, gospel-inflected comping.

Pressings
The earliest on file is the 1964 Blue Note BLP 4185 in mono, carrying deep groove, RVG stamp, Plastylite ear and laminated sleeve; the stereo BST 84185 of the same year lists all four as well. Copies also turn up with no deep groove or a groove on one side only, so look at both faces before paying for the description. 1966 brought NY USA-label repressings of 84185. For a modern cut, Music Matters did MMBST-84185 at 45 RPM in 2010 and again on SRX in 2019.
Showing the first pressing, audiophile reissues and copies carrying a collector marker, out of 82 pressings on file.
